There’s a barrier in Thai society for artists to shine. Music inside the education system is restrictive, not fostering individual expression. Cultural norms define successful careers as lawyers, doctors, and engineers. Parents discourage kids from pursuing a music career.There are numerous social stigmas surrounding music careers and passion in Thailand. Even when young talents pursue their passion in music, there are still structural and societal barriers to overcome.Young artists are new to the industry, they have a dream, they have a skill, but they don’t have a place to perform, to freely express themselves, and to be heard about their music.
